"Life Is Beautiful", by Roberto Benigni (as director, co-writer, and actor), is one of the best-known historical drama narratives in the seventh art - alongside, for example, Schindler's List. With the interpretation of Benigni himself as Guido, Nicoletta Braschi as Dora, and Giorgio Cantarini as Giosué (the kid), " La vita è Bella " tells a touching and optimistic story in a tragic environment about an open-minded Jewish waiter, his son, and his wife, and the turn their lives suffer when they become victims of the Holocaust during the Second World War (1939-1945). Within the Nazis' antisemitic extermination context, also called "the Final Solution", Guido uses everything he can - a perfect mixture of will, humor, and imagination - to protect his son from the injustice and misfortune of that horrendous and inhuman massacre of the twentieth century.
